Bents Farm is a traditional farmhouse perfectly situated on the edge of the Peak District. On the door step are beautiful footpaths, bridleways, and rural lanes ideal for walking and cycling. Across the adjacent cricket green is the renowned gastro-pub 'The Cricket Inn'. The farm is part of the picturesque hamlet of Totley Bents.
Bents Farm is also well situated for visiting family and friends in Sheffield, being just 15 minutes' drive from the city centre, 5 minutes' drive from Dore train station, and a short walk from a major bus route. For shopping, Meadowhall is only half an hour away.
The farmhouse dates from the nineteenth century, and retains many original features: fireplaces, exposed beams, working shutters, and window seats. The owners have recently renovated the property throughout, providing a very well equipped kitchen, spacious dining room with a log burner, and cosy sitting room with an open fire. On the first floor are three good sized bedrooms, one double and two twins. There is a bath and shower. The farmhouse has oil fired central heating throughout, in addition to the two wood fires.
Externally, there is a delightful front garden, with table and chairs, and space for one car. (Further cars can be accommodated on the nearby lane.) Bents Farm remains one of a number of small working farms in the area, so children will enjoy spotting nearby cows, sheep, horses, and chickens.
Broadband wi-fi and satellite TV are included, as well as all linen, towels, and essentials. Your welcome basket will include local treats and a bottle of bubbly.
